Man Faces Federal Drug Trafficking Charges

A Lexington County man has been arrested on a variety of drug and weapons charges as part of an ongoing investigation targeting drug suppliers and violent street gangs throughout the Midlands.

The FBI's Columbia Violent Gang Task Force took 35-year-old Corey Haygood, also known as “Pushaman,” into custody at his Gaston mobile home on Pine Bluff Road Thursday where agents say they seized $17,000 worth of drugs including cocaine and crack cocaine.

The FBI says some of the drugs were found in a secret compartment in a bedroom closet, along with $10,000 in cash.

And investigators say they found a .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol on a kitchen counter and a loaded AK-47 assault rifle behind a kitchen appliance.
