Business Leaders Urge Gas Tax Passage

State lawmakers heard from some of the largest companies and corporations, advocating they pass a road-funding plan, now in the House.

The plan would raise the gas tax, which Gov. McMaster said he would support, but only as a last resort.

Business leaders reminded legislators, roads impact every citizen, their quality of life, safety, and the state's economic competitiveness. It is also understood there is no simple, politically-expedient solution, either.
