(Columbia, SC) -- Puerto Ricans can continue to rely on South Carolina to help them rebuild from Hurricane Maria.
Governor Henry McMaster yesterday announced he was extending the executive order that has the National Guard helping recovery efforts on the island.
The current executive order was set to expire this week, and McMaster says Puerto Rico's governor requested further assistance.
The new order will expire at the end of the year or when Puerto Rico no longer requires the Guard's help.
