Columbia Moves To Ban Bump Stocks

(Columbia, SC)  --  Columbia's mayor is thankful the city is taking what he calls a leading role in addressing a controversial issue.

The city council voted last night to ban the use of bump stocks on guns within the city limits.  This is the first step the city has taken in banning bump stocks since one was used in the Las Vegas mass shooting.

Mayor Steve Benjamin has told "The State" he believes Columbia would be the first city in the country to pass such a ban.
