Thousands In Georgetown County Urged To Evacuate

(Charleston, SC) -- Flooding could leave parts of Georgetown County under water by the end of the week.

The National Weather Service predicts the Pee Dee and Waccamaw rivers will overflow their banks, and thousands of residents were urged yesterday to evacuate.

A county official says the flooding could be worse than Hurricane Matthew two years ago, but he worries some residents aren't taking it seriously.
