Rivers Crest In Horry County

(Myrtle Beach, SC) -- There might be a sliver of optimism in Horry County.

A county official said yesterday that local rivers have crested, and the flooding will not get worse.

Now, residents must wait for the waters to recede to get a clear look at just how bad the damage is from Hurricane Florence.

The county fire chief says crews are using boats to check on residents who might need help evacuating.
