New-Look CHA Board Holds First Meeting

(Columbia, SC) -- At least one public housing resident is hopeful a new-look board will end a stressful situation.

When the Columbia Housing Authority meets today, there will be four new members. For those new members, it will be the first meeting since Allen Benedict Court was closed in January after two residents died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

One former ABC resident is now staying at an extended stay hotel. She told WACH Fox she hopes the board can quickly move her into a new permanent home.
