Indictments have been handed down against the sheriff of Chester County, his Chief Deputy and a Lieutenant.
The State is reporting they are accused of making false statements to the FBI and falsifying police reports. Sheriff Alex Underwood has been suspended by the Governor.
The case surrounds the arrest last November of a man in Fort Lawn. The indictments say there was a conspiracy to cover up an unlawful arrest and excessive force.
The man was arrested after live-streaming some police activity. He was told to stop, and he did not, so we was arrested.
