SC Ranks Low On Best State’s List

South Carolina is not among the best states in the nation.

Once again, U.S. News and World Report says so. Its new list ranks our state number 42, the same as last year.

The Palmetto State received the worst marks for fiscal stability, crime and corruption, education and opportunity. South Carolina managed to beat out Louisiana, Mississippi and New Mexico on the list.

At the top were Washington state, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Utah and Vermont.
