COVID-19 Testing To Begin At South Carolina Nursing Homes Next Week

(Columbia, SC) -- State officials are sharing a plan to test residents and staff members of South Carolina nursing homes for coronavirus. 

The Department of Health and Environmental Control will start phased testing next week at all 194 nursing homes in the state. That includes 40-thousand residents and workers. 

Phase one begins May 11th with 15-thousand residents and staff members expected to be tested at 74 facilities.
