(Columbia, SC) -- The City of Columbia is considering making face masks mandatory.
Council members plan to discuss an emergency order that would make face coverings mandatory in public places.
This comes as the state sees a spike in coronavirus cases as businesses continue reopening.
If the proposal passes, violators would be guilty of a misdemeanor and could face penalties.
