(Columbia, SC) -- The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 1,226 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the state's total to 82,071 and the percent positive to 14.6 percent.
Seventeen deaths were newly reported, with all but one occurring in the past week. The state death toll is 1,452.
