Rural Broadband Bill Passed By State Lawmakers

(Columbia, SC) -- A rural broadband bill is on its way to Governor McMaster's desk.

It was unanimously passed by the South Carolina House yesterday following passage in the Senate on Wednesday.

The bill would improve access to broadband in rural and underserved areas in the Palmetto state.

It would also give incentives to small cooperatives to work together with internet providers.
