Plane Crashes Into Rosewood Neighborhood Home

(Columbia, SC) -- The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate after a plane crashed into a Columbia home. 

It happened around 10:30 yesterday morning in the Rosewood neighborhood, under two miles from the Jim Hamilton-L.B. Owens Airport. 

At least one person was in the small engine plane when it crashed, but their condition is not known. One person was inside the home at the time of the crash but got out safely. 

The plane and the home caught fire, but firefighters were able to put it out.
