Lawmakers Considering Paid Family Leave Bill

(Columbia, SC) -- Lawmakers are considering legislation to offer paid family leave to state employees.

The Paid Family Leave bill has bipartisan support in the House and Senate, as well as from Governor McMaster.

If passed, it would give full-time state workers 12 weeks of paid time off when they have a newborn at home or adopt a child into their family.

The bill is heading to the full House floor after passing the House Ways and Means Committee yesterday.
