(Columbia, SC) -- A Democratic state lawmaker is calling for a Camden Republican to resign.
Representative Vic Dabney posted a statement on Facebook in opposition of the hate crime bill being considered at the state House.
In the now deleted post, Dabney said "it's our whiteness and our straightness that keeps getting in the way."
Representative John King says the statement was "overtly racist and deeply offensive."
