Bill Reintroduced To Ban Trans Athletes From Women's Sports

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina lawmakers are reintroducing a bill that would regulate transgender athletes participation in high school sports.

Three Republican legislators have pre-filed a bill to ban transgender women and girls from playing on women's high school teams.

The proposed bill still allows transgender men and boys to play on the male sports teams.

Under the legislation, the student's biological gender would be confirmed using their birth certificates.
