Midlands Hospitals No Longer Requiring COVID-19 Vaccines For Workers

(Columbia, SC) -- Two South Carolina health care systems are no longer requiring their employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Prisma Health and Lexington Medical Center are pausing mandatory vaccine protocol for healthcare workers.

This comes after a federal judge ruled to suspend a Medicare and Medicaid Services vaccine mandate.

Previously, facilities had to comply or be terminated from Medicare and Medicaid programs.
