Bill Would Make Asking For Vaccination Status A Crime

(Columbia, SC) - South Carolina lawmakers are considering a bill that would make it illegal to ask someone if they're vaccinated.

Representatives Mike Burns, Patrick Haddon, Steven Wayne Long, and William "Brian" Chumley are co-sponsoring the bill in the South Carolina House.

They say the bill aims to protect employees from having to share their vaccination status, which they say is private health information.

The bill would also apply to providing proof of vaccination for a large event, like a concert.
