State Lawmakers To Restrict South Carolina's Business With Russia

(Columbia, SC) - State lawmakers are working to restrict South Carolina's business dealings with Russia.

One bill in the Senate would ban the state retirement fund from investing money in Russian-owned companies.

That proposed legislation could be considered by the Senate Finance Committee today.

Other bills include one that condemns Russia's invasion of Ukraine and another that would ban South Carolina's liquor stores from selling Russian-made alcohol.
