(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina businesses are hiring at the fifth highest rate in the nation.
On the other side, workers in the state are also quiting at rates higher than most of the country.
That's according to new data recently released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce said there are more than two job openings for every unemployed person in the state.
While workers are quitting in the state at the fourth highest rate in the U.S., there have still been more hires than quits.
