South Carolina House To Vote On Abortion Bill Today

(Columbia, SC) -- The South Carolina House of Representatives will meet today to vote on a proposed abortion measure.

Earlier this month, the state's Senate passed a ban for abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy.

It allows for exceptions for rape and incest up to 12 weeks, if the mother's life is threatened, or if two physicians confirm the fetus has a fatal anomaly.

If the House approves the bill, it will head to Governor McMaster's desk to be signed.
