2.5 Magnitude Earthquake Confirmed Near Ladson, South Carolina

The U.S. Geological Survey is confirming an earthquake in South Carolina.

The 2.5 magnitude quake was reported Monday afternoon. It happened three-and-a-half miles southwest of Ladson and four-point-seven miles southeast of Summerville.

The earthquake happened two days after the South Carolina Emergency Management Division had announced the Palmetto State made it one month with no earthquakes reported.
