(Columbia, SC)-- A shooting is being ruled justified by investigators with the Richland County Sheriff's Department.
A 40-year-old man was shot in north Columbia Monday afternoon.
Police say video footage of the incident shows the man had punched his 17-year-old son and was choking him when the son shot his father using a handgun.
The Richland County Sheriff says no charges will be filed in the case after they determined the shooting was justified.
