Governor's Carolighting At State House Kicks Off Christmas Season

(Columbia, SC)-- South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster are celebrating the start of the Christmas season. 

The 57th annual Governor's Carolighting was held at the South Carolina State House on Sunday. 

The event included carols and other live music before the South Carolina Christmas tree lighting occurred. 

The tree that was lit up is a 35-foot Norway Spruce from Morgantown that has 13-thousand lights.
