(Richland County, SC)-- A detainee at the Richland County Jail is in the hospital after an assault.
The incident happened at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on Saturday.
A forty-year-old was reportedly attacked by multiple other detainees, suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
This comes during a federal investigation being conducted by the U.S. Department of Justice looking into alleged civil rights violations at the jail.
