Richland County K-9 Shot, 17-Year-Old Accused Of Attempted Murder

(Richland County, SC)-- A Richland County Sheriff's Office K-9 is injured after being shot. 

Deputies responded to a report of a stolen truck after midnight Thursday. They located the stolen vehicle and tried to pull the driver over, but they drove off and a chase ensued. 

Police say two suspects then ran from the vehicle and the driver- 17-year-old Jeremy Taylor- then opened fire, striking K-9 Kobe several times. 

Taylor is being charged as an adult for attempted murder, multiple weapons charges, unlawful injury to a police dog, failure to stop for blue lights and grand larceny of a motor vehicle.
