Coach Steve Spurrier had some good news for Gamecock fans on yesterday's teleconference: for starters, Marcus Lattimore had surgery Friday to start the process of repairing the junior tailback's injured right knee. Spurrier says the surgery took place in Birmingham, Alabama, that it went well, and that Lattimore's back in Columbia and resting.
The Head Ball Coach also says his team got healthier during the open weekend. QB Connor Shaw's expected to practice tonight after taking last week off because of a foot sprain. DT Kelcy Quarles could also suit up this week--he's missed two games with a shoulder injury. And RB Brandon Wilds could also be available for the Arkansas game.
Carolina's Homecoming with the Hogs kicks off at 12noon on CBS.
