Someone asked me what I thought of the Queen James version of the Bible, and I had to admit I wasn't familiar. However a quick search lead me to it being sold on Amazon for $34.95 So what is the Queen James version? According to the publisher; A Gay Bible. The Queen James Bible is based on The King James Bible, edited to prevent homophobic misinterpretation. By the way it's cover is fabulous!
Of course this isn't the first time someone has edited the Bible to suit their needs. Thomas Jefferson liked the morals that Jesus taught, but thought the miracles were silly. So he edited them out and released his own version, which is still for sale on Amazon but for a lot less than the Queen James. Probably because his cover is a lot less fabulous.

People have always had a tough time with the Bible. Editing it to meet your own needs seems a bit presumtive. It kind of sounds like you think you are God! But the Bible unlike all other books doesn't have a message of self help, you can do it, and we're all created in a way that God loves us as we are. The Bible's message is more along the lines of, only Jesus can help, you can't do it, and God loves you so much that he's not going to allow you to stay the disaster you are now. That tends to rub some folks the wrong way.
For people, like the publisher of the Queen James version, who think the original scriptures never commented on sexual sin or specifically if homosexual activity was wrong, they can check the Dead Sea Scrolls which were carbon dated to about 400 years before Jesus was born and see that Leviticus was found, and has the phrases which they find so offensive. It's always been a sin.
Look I wasn't happy to see that just daydreaming about a girl is considered adultery, so I'm right there with you! The Queen James ad says you can't choose your sexuality but now you can chose your Bible. Well not really. No one chooses their sin. If you believe the Bible it says all are conceived in sin. So when you were born you were guilty. Sucks right?!? We all have some sort of bend away from God. That bend is sin. Could be sex, could be pride, could be whatever. I think they all have to do with our happiness. So that's why it sucks when God says, the thing that makes you happy, is an offense to Him.
When I became a Christian in my late 30's one of the things I had to give up was Yankee baseball. I was obsessed with watching them, studying them, talking about them blah blah blah. The point is, I found comfort and joy in the Yankees and beer. God showed me that he is a jealous God and would not share me. So through the years my passion for beer and baseball has cooled, while my love for the Lord has grown! If I had hardened my heart to that I doubt if I ever would have changed. When it comes to Jesus you either believe everything he says or you don't. He's either a madman, or the greatest conman the world has ever known, or he is who he says he is. And He says the old testament is the word of God. If you struggle with the fact that the bible has been copied through the centuries and changes were made, again check the Dead Sea Scrolls, or take the Alpha course. It will show you the documentation outside of the Bible that proves the Bible was written when it says it was, and how it's still in it's original form. But really if you're struggling with the Bible you're struggling with whether you can trust God. That's a heart issue and you should really just spend some quality alone time talking to Him and asking Him to direct you what to read. Because it all comes down to a relationship. If you're talking to something in the sky and there's no give and take, then there's nothing happening. You really need a relationship and that comes from communication. God Bless you and if I can help just let me know.
