The man who has known 8 presidents... 3 of them intimately is back in the headlines today. A 52 year old Washington state man was arrested for following Biden's advice. As KOIN-TV reports Jeffrey Barton told police he fired his shotgun in the air to scare off people who were breaking into his vehicles in front of his home early Monday morning. Deputies are investigating whether a large teen party that got out of control at a neighbor’s home may have been linked to the break ins. “I did what Joe Biden told me to do. I went outside and fired my shotgun in the air. However, sheriff’s deputies noted that current law does not afford people the right to just fire off their gun.” That would be Biden bad advice winner #1. The VP telling a national audience "I said to Jill, if there's ever a problem just walk out on the balcony here ... put that double-barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house." As we see now following that advice will get you arrested.
Bad Biden advice #2
When asked if American's should be concerned about going to Mexico due to a recent breakout of Swine Flu in that country Joe said; "I would tell members of my family, and I have, I wouldn't go anywhere in confined places right now. It's not that it's going to Mexico, it's that you are in a confined aircraft. When one person sneezes, it goes everywhere through the aircraft". The VP told citizens it's not just Mexico..."I wouldn't go anywhere in confined places". American Airlines called it fear mongering and Politifact Check rated the statement, pants on fire. As Dr Tony Overfelt announced along with ATA; "The particles from a sneeze might travel a row or a couple of rows or something like that," Overfelt said. "They're really not going to travel up and down the airplane as our vice president said.Quite a bit of research indicates that."
Bad Biden advice #3
"Stand up Chuck" That was the VP's advice to the Missouri state Senator who was helping to run the Obama/Biden campaign in that state. Chuck Graham has been a paraplegic since the age of 16. Biden was acknowleding the leaders of the state campaign when he decided to give Chuck a special salute "Stand up Chuck let em see ya...oh God love ya...what am I talking about".
Bad Biden advice # 4
"You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin Donuts without a slight Indian accent". That was Joe's advice to the people of Delaware. He gave it on C-Span while greeting a man from India. "In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking." I would boldly suggest to Delawareans that they are still free to visit 7-11 and Dunkin Donuts even if they don't have that slight Indian accent. And while I'm giving out bold advice I will send some toward the VP himself. Get back to your roots. Go back to what you did best. Plagiarize. You made so much more sense when saying other peoples words. As this 1988 NBC report shows the trick was not getting caught. Yes you failed at Syracuse when they caught you plagiarizing, but they let you take the class over. Yes some of your speeches were direct rip offs from the Kennedy's, but how many more times did you get away with it? And with the invention of google glasses you can plagiarize on the go. You meet some guy from India rather than embarrassing everyone with your words google "what would a smart person say to someone from India". "What would a smart person say about swine flu"? Or "Who is Chuck Graham"? I know wearing them would make some people self conscious but you look like you'd have no problems pulling it off.
