So here we are a little over 9 hours away from a government shutdown and the Senate just voted to kill the House bill to keep it open. I think most American's share a lot of frustration with the last few days. Conservatives should be frustrated with their party for not sticking to the Friday plan. That would have just let the Democrats have everything except for the Vitter amendment which would have forced Democrats to either vote against the bill so they could avoid having to go on Obamacare themselves, or pass it and as Nancy Pelosi explained back on August 7th "lose a lot of valuable members of our staffs who can't afford to pay for this". Now the GOP has played into the Dems hands as a government shutdown is what they want so as to have an emergency they can talk about that most uninformed American's will believe was caused by the Republican's Obama will be grandstanding for months about a shutdown and how much this hurt the middle class blah blah.
The liberals have got to be frustrated with Harry Reid and the President. As America faces a shutdown their President golfed away and Harry Reid gave the Senate the weekend off. As Ted Cruz wrapped up his "long talk" last week Reid said
"The American people know that every hour he has spoken or he speaks pushes us closer to a Republican government shutdown. If anyone has any doubt that there are Republicans rooting for a shutdown, they should just turn on the television."
If they turned on their TV's to see anything other than Breaking Bad yesterday they would have been very disappointed to see their Democrat leaders not working at all. Both parties are a disaster and seem adament about hurting themselves and the country.
