Columbia police are searching for a teenage suspect in a homicide that occurred on a front porch early Sunday morning.
17-year-old Clifton Dreher (pictured) is wanted for murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Police say Dreher fatally shot 23-year-old Quamain Cabrice-Lewis of Columbia at a home in the 1800 block of Tremain Street around 2 a.m. Sunday.
Others at the scene drove the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators believe there was an argument between Cabrice-Lewis and other people at the home prior to the shooting.
Police say they've recovered the vehicle used in the shooting, which is Columbia's first murder of the year.
Dreher's last known address is 112 Cardamon Court in Columbia.
Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-(888) CRIME-SC.
