Pawmetto Lifeline's Spay-Neuter Clinic is offering free spay and neuter services for cats and dogs in three communities, thanks to a grant from PetSmart charities.
The organization hopes to provide sterilizations for more than 700 cats and more than 1,100 dogs for residents who qualify in Eastover, Gadsden and Pelion.
Pawmetto Lifeline plans to complete the surgeries this month and next.
In addition, pets will also receive a rabies vaccination and microchip for free while grant funds last.
