Lexington County authorities have arrested one of two suspects wanted in the death of a woman who was found lying in the street last week.
20-year-old Tevin Deloach (pictured) of Columbia is charged with murder in the shooting of 43-year-old Paula Justice of West Columbia.
Sheriff's Major John Allard says it's believed Deloach accompanied another man still being sought, 24-year-old John Hart of Columbia, when Justice was shot and left for dead on Lumberjack Drive near West Columbia last Wednesday night.
“An arrest warrant further alleges that Deloach drove Hart in a 1993 Lincoln Town Car to pick up Justice, drove Hart and Justice to Lumberjack Drive and later drove Hart to a location where Hart and Deloach parked and abandoned the Lincoln Town Car,” says Allard.
Two men working to repossess a car found Justice lying in the street and called 911, but she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities have said Hart and Justice were acquaintances and had arranged to meet, but still no motive has been given for the shooting.
