Just about one month until the town of Lexington begins its third Farmers Market season, so officials are seeking vendors to sell goods at the market.
Lexington spokeswoman Jennifer Dowden says, “Produce, food resellers...in the past, we've had bakeries. We have artesian wares. We really try to make it community-based. Natural soaps, lotions. Everything that's home-grown, organic.
“Some people just think farmer's market and they think produce. But there's a wide array of what can sell for the market and we really want our community to be involved.”
Dowden says the market will be able to operate rain or shine because it will be at an indoor location – 206 North Church Street, right across from St. Stephen's Church.
And the Farmers Market will run every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m,, from June 1st to October 26th.
