Two Hopkins women were killed Saturday in separate wrecks in lower Richland County.
The Highway Patrol says neither victim was wearing a seat belt.
Troopers say about 9 a.m., a car pulled from Mt. Elon Church Road into the path of an SUV traveling along Leesburg Road.
A passenger in the back seat of the car was ejected from the vehicle.
County Coroner Gary Watts says 20-year-old Shakimah Martin died Saturday afternoon from head injuries.
Troopers have charged with car's driver, 21-year-old Jasmine Palmer, with failure to yield right-of-way.
The driver of the SUV, 65-year-old Theodore Linder of Hopkins, was taken to the hospital but there's no word on his injuries.
The Highway Patrol says the second wreck occurred 8:45 Saturday night when a driver lost control of her vehicle along Harmon Road.
The coroner says 41-year-old Laurie Steiner was ejected from her vehicle when it struck a tree.
Steiner died on the way to the hospital.
