A Lexington County man has been arrested in connection with the abuse of a 4-month-old child.
The Sheriff's Department says 22-year-old Tyler Lambert of Chapin assaulted the infant.
An arrest warrant alleges that on March 26th, the child was taken to Palmetto Health Children's Hospital for treatment.
And it was determined the 4-month-old had signs of a pattern of physical abuse inflicted over a period of time which caused serious and life-threatening injuries – the result of non-accidental blunt force trauma.
Investigators say Lambert is the person primarily responsible for the injuries.
He could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
