A Richland County teenager reported missing last week has been found unharmed.
Sheriff's Deputy Curtis Wilson says, “Just before noon, Richland County Fugitive Task Force investigators were able to locate Mariah Carrion and take her into custody at that time.”
Wilson says investigators received information that the 16-year-old Blythewood girl was at the home of an acquaintance in Columbia.
The teen was arrested on charges of violating a court order.
Wilson says after questioning the acquaintance, investigators decided that person will not be charged in the girl's disappearance.
Carrion was reported missing Tuesday after her father returned home from work and says he found a letter stating that she was leaving.
Her father received full custody of his daughter just two months ago.
There was extra concern about her disappearance because she was said to be at risk due to a serious medical condition.
