ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP/WVOC) - An Orangeburg woman has died in a wreck involving a Calhoun County sheriff's deputy.
The Highway Patrol says the wreck happened at an intersection about five miles north of Orangeburg on Highway 21 late Tuesday morning.
The coroner's office says 29-year-old Tiffany Benjamin died at the scene from injuries in the wreck.
Calhoun County Sheriff Thomas Summers says the deputy was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.
The deputy's name has not been released.
