Searchers located the body of a missing Kershaw County boater on Monday.
44-year-old Michael Thompson of Lugoff and an unidentified woman were in a boat in the Wateree River below Lake Wateree when the vessel hit a floating log about 11 p.m. Saturday.
The female says the jolt capsized the boat, and they fell into the river.
She told authorities when she resurfaced, she couldn't see Thompson.
Officials say the woman floated down the river and was able to find a fisherman who took her back to the area where the boat had overturned, but there was still no sign of Thompson.
DNR officials looked for him without success Sunday by boat and by air in water that was moving rapidly at flood stage.
The search resumed Monday and divers say Thompson's body was recovered near where the incident occurred, about two miles north of the Highway 1 bridge over the Wateree River in Camden.
