Authorities say they found a Midlands man reported missing a month-and-a-half ago after he had a wreck over the weekend.
The Richland County Sheriff's Department says deputies spotted a car speeding along Faraway Drive about 1 o'clock Sunday morning.
Officers say the driver refused to stop and eventually ran off the road and into a tree.
They say he then fled on foot but was apprehended along Decker Boulevard.
The driver is identified as 49-year-old Benjamin Kearse, who was reported missing by his wife at the end of May.
Kearse is charged with DUI, driving under suspension, possession of cocaine and other drug and traffic violations.
