COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP/WVOC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking for more help.
The Highway Patrol is holding seven meetings across the state this month to recruit troopers.
The Department of Public Safety decided to hold the sessions because they need to fill 65 slots in the next training class, which begins in January.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old with no criminal history, have a clean driving record and have been a resident of South Carolina for at least a year.
Officials will discuss physical fitness standards, benefits and salaries for troopers at the meetings.
