A Lexington County man has been arrested after authorities say he shot several times into a home occupied by four people as they slept.
The Sheriff's Department says it happened early the morning of June 28th near Gaston in the 700 block of Meadowfield Road.
Arrest warrants allege that 31-year-old Michael Brown of Gaston fired the shots from a handgun into the home occupied by two boys ages 6 and 7, their mother and their uncle.
Sheriff's Major John Allard says, “Deputies found multiple bullets penetrated the master bedroom at the home as well as the front door, front porch and living room.
“Detectives recovered eight shell casings from a 9-millimeter handgun as well as a cellular telephone that belonged to Brown in the front yard of the Meadowfield Road home.”
Allard says no one was injured in the gunfire.
No motive for the shooting has been revealed.
Brown is charged with four counts of attempted murder and one count of discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
