Sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for a man in a case of indecent exposure near Irmo Middle School.
It happened Tuesday afternoon about 3:40 p.m. as a group of female students left the campus along Westcott Road.
Lexington County Sheriff's Major John Allard says, “Several parents reported that they saw the man standing at a fence on the perimeter of Irmo Middle School, with his shirt open and making inappropriate comments to several female students as they walked towards Quail Valley Plaza Shopping Center.
“Several female students told the school crossing guard that the man was trying to expose himself and appeared to be inappropriately touching himself.”
Allard says the man was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white shirt and a blue and white baseball cap. The suspect is believed to be in his 20s or 30s.
The State Law Enforcement Division has released a composite sketch of the man, and anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
