A man arrested on burglary charges in June now has been linked to numerous additional burglaries around Richland County.
Sheriff's Sergeant Curtis Wilson says, “During the course of the investigation and also questioning witnesses, we were able to link him to at least 36 more in the city of Columbia and also Forest Acres and the bulk of them also in Richland County. Our forensic unit was able to tie him as well with DNA evidence.”
Wilson says 38-year-old Terrance Miller left DNA at the scene where a notary seal was stolen after a front window was broken at a leasing office on Brighten Hill Road on October 30th.
During the burglary spree last year and this year, Miller is accused of busting into apartments, leasing offices, a convenience store, a gym and other locations and stealing flat-screen TVs, computers, a cash register, alcohol and more.
