Columbia police have arrested two men in connection with a carjacking that occurred on Friday afternoon.
Police say the suspects stole an SUV from a man at gunpoint in the 1400 block of Marion Street.
Officers spotted a vehicle matching the description and when they tried to pull it over, they say the driver would not stop.
Police pursued the SUV until the suspects jumped out while it was moving along Adams Street, and the vehicle then crashed into a tree. No one was injured.
Investigators say a gun was recovered from the SUV.
With the assistance of K-9 units, police tracked the men to a home on High Street, where they were taken into custody.
22-year-old Telvin Grayson and 23-year-old James Davis are charged with carjacking, attempted armed robbery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
