Two Sumter High School football players are facing criminal sex charges after police said they attacked another teen at the school.
Sumter Police say that a 14-year-old reported in May that three other students sexually assaulted him while he was in a bathroom/locker room back in February. Police Chief Russell Roark explained why it took so long for an arrest.
Police say two of the students identified by the victim were 16-year-olds Deonte Lowery and Tiquan Colclough. Both have been charged as adults with 2nd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Conspiracy. The third person has not yet been identified.
