MANNING, S.C. (AP/WVOC) - Clarendon County authorities are investigating the shooting of a 2-year-old boy, and they say the suspect is 3 years old.
It happened Monday afternoon at a home along Paradise Road in the Jordon community.
Lacy Oliver told sheriff's deputies her nephews entered the house before her and then she heard a gunshot.
She says she and her husband ran inside to find the 2-year-old lying on the floor and the 3-year-old holding a gun nearby.
Tyrone Oliver told investigators the gun is kept in a cabinet, but the boys were able to access it.
Deputies have called the shooting accidental, and no charges have been filed.
The 2-year-old was shot in the legs and is said to be recovering in the hospital.
