Authorities say they've arrested four suspects – including two juveniles – in connection with burglaries at several Verizon Wireless stores around the Midlands.
The thefts included numerous iPads and cell phones – some of which were sold on craigslist.
Investigators say the four suspects stole as much as $20,000 in merchandise at a time – for an estimated total of $400,000 worth – when they hit Verizon stores in Richland, Lexington, Orangeburg, Kershaw and Aiken counties, as well as in Columbia and Forest Acres.
They were arrested at a Verizon store in Camden just after 3 a.m. Thursday when a police officer saw them go into the business.
The four were apprehended after a brief chase on foot.
They've been identified as 24-year-old Karen Moody, 40-year-old Rodney Robinson and two juveniles, ages 14 and 16.
