 With thousands of politicians vying for seats next week, it’s quite an achievement for a local politician to break through the noise and make a national name for himself.

RUSH: It's fascinating to me to watch all this, to absorb all the polling data, like Quinnipiac is out, got Obama up five in Ohio, but Romney's winning independents left and right.  So much of it is genuinely confusing.

RUSH: It's a racial thing... They look at Obama and feel sorry for him... There's sympathy.  They actually think that, without advantages, African-Americans and other minorities, too, by the way, can't accomplish things.  The country's too unfair.  The country is too unjust.  The founding of the country was a stacked deck, blacks never had a chance.
